About this Work
This work was touched into existence. Fragments of images, sunlight, materials, mirrors, and marks made through haptic gestures collide across the plane of a scanner.
About Holly Buckle
Holly Buckle is a London-based artist and activist, currently completing an MA in Fine Art Media, at the Slade School of Fine Art, UCL, after gaining their BA (Hons) in Photography from Arts University Bournemouth in 2013.
Buckle’s artistic practice is routed in their research on queer histories, particularly activating bodies for action today, and future-thinking. Drawing lines between the photographic object and the queer body, the artist examines intimacy, space, sensation and a sense of collectiveness. Often, their practice manifests in multi-sensory installations using haptic, olfactory and audio elements.
